White Oak

Quercus alba

White oak is a majestic deciduous tree that provides shade to parks and large backyards.  It is a great choice for shade and provides food for wildlife. It is one of the longest lived oaks, with a high resistance to diseases and rots.  Its strong, durable timber is often used in woodworking such as whiskey or wine barrels and flooring.  

Note: The leaves and seeds of white oak are mildly toxic.
